Dowina Marus D - solid top - Antique Series

Dowina Marus Dreadnaught is part of Antique Series built with solid top. Hand-built by skilled professionals. It impresses with its fine sound and volume. Dowina has chosen a light and resonant wood to build this guitar. It is beautiful too. The top is of solid spruce from the Dolomites Val di Fiemme Italy.

Dowina carefully selects wood materials as it is crucial for sound and durability. The good Stradivari collected material from the Dolomites for their famous violins. Almost all Dowina guitars have so-called. Open pore and matt lacquer finish. It is both neat and it gives a nice playing feeling. No risk of getting caught in the paint. About Dowina Guitars

The Dowina factory is located between Bratislava and Vienna. Manufacturing started in 1979. Dowina started with the production of violins. Gradually they built up their know-how, experience and intuition. The result was fantastic instruments. Inspired by the violin makers' knowledge, guitar production was also started. A crucial factor for quality is the choice of wood materials.

Dowina retrieves wood material from the Dolomites in the Alps - Val di Fiemme. A wood with extraordinary properties in resonance. They also use selected Sitka and Cedar from Alaska and the western United States. This, together with great professional skill, results in unique guitars where the feeling, tone and appearance are outstanding for their price range.
