If you want a guitar that looks heavily used, our relics are the right buy. But the relic, ie the ageing of the instrument, is not just for appearance. You lift the playability a notch - it becomes more comfortable to play on. The matte lacquer gives more contact with the wood. And the neck gets faster. This guitar has a more basic relicing made in our factory. But nonetheless - both delicious and comfortable. The neck is a thin modern C-neck profile made in maple that has a matte finish on the back. This neck is really smooth to play on.

The fretboard is made of Rose Maple Wood. Rosewood is endangered, so we have replaced it with another wood that is similar in appearance and tone to rosewood. Green TL Custom is equipped with a Green mini humbucker in the neck and a Green hot tele pickup of P90 type in bridge position. The balance in volume between the pickups is very nicely tuned.

The bridge PU has a really good punch - not really as sharp as on a traditional tele. It is more midrangey with slightly more bass. The mini humbucker has a slightly lower output than a normal humbucker but has enough power to deliver. It is quite close to a P-90 pickup soundwise, ie a little more treble than a full-size humbucker. We think it fits better with a mini than a full-size humbucker on a tele with a single coil in the bridge, both in terms of appearance and volume.

If you want the best possible sound - choose Lundgren hand-wired pickups, a teletype - P90 in the bridge position and a mini humbucker in the neck position.
