Taurus MULTIDRIVE Multidrive is an guitar effect designed with three different distortion levels: DRIVE, OVERDRIVE, HIGH GAIN. Each section is controlled by footswitch. They can be chosen by an external controller as well, which can be plugged into the pedal. Every section is equipped with its own tonality, as well as gain and signal level. This allows an adjustment of the the sound and volume of each section individually and to switch between them during playing.

The tone character can be adjusted from the CHARACTER knob. It allows You to selectively change the sound with one single pot, from a soft dark tone, to a nasal and middle bright, up to a modern thick aggressive sound. On top of this, there is also a bright/dark two-way switch that hi-lights the timbre or suppresses the high frequencies of the sound.

The Taurus MULTIDRIVE pedal is also equipped with a "MIX" feature which allows blending all channels together. A very personalized sound can be created by mixing every sections of the effect in any configuration, just one, two or three sections can be simultaneously in use. This gives You even more possibilities creating a very own, individual guitar sound.

The pedal has another feature that enhances the dynamics of the final sound. The feature is a clean tone blender that allows blending the natural, clean input sound from the guitar into the distorted signal of the pedal. The guitar signal can be mixed in two ways: A mix of full bandwidth clean sound, or the input clean sound via a cut-off band, emphasizing only the "punch" in the distorted sound. Meaning the feel of dynamic attack and the sound's thickness. The Hi-cut mixing "character" switch is used for this purpose.

The DRIVE part has been designed in a way that its dynamics and response are on the same level as in classic tube amplifiers.
